Volleyball
Volleyball was established as a Varsity sport at East Hardy High School in 1992-1993. The
Cougars have been runners-up in the conference tournament twice and sectional runner-up three
times. This year's team included six seniors and 31 girls competed on the three teams including a
junior varsity team and a freshmen team. Mike Funkhouser has been the head volleyball coach since
the program's inception and Sara Funkhouser has been the assistant coach since 1995.
