The Prowl Program

PROWL is an original and unique program which teaches students to accept responsibility for their learning and behavior. The program is designed to instill in our students the qualities we expect from humanity: common courtesy, manners, respect for themselves and self-discipline.

PROWL is a total school program which involves every teacher and reaches every student. The program embraces two main components. The first component is a set of standards and expectations taught to all students and reinforced daily in every classroom. School wide standards provide consistency and solid foundation from which students draw strength.

PROWL Scratch Information

1. Teachers will be given training on the PROWL to insure consistency and fairness.

2. An assembly will be held on the first day of school to explain all procedures and expectations of PROWL. This assembly will be led by the PROWL Administrator.

3. Ten minutes prior to home room the students will be given an opportunity to prepare themselves for the school day.

4. Standards and expectations will be taught on Day 1 in homeroom and during each class period. Lessons will also be taught periodically in advisor/advisee sessions.

5. During the first two weeks of school, students will be issued PROWL Scratches, and they will report to reteach. All scratches issued in the initial two week period will be excluded from the six-week and semester reward program but not from any other part of the program.
