The East Hardy High School Band was formed in 1980 as a result of consolidation of WHS and MHS. The band was under the direction of Anne Funkhouser until 1992 and has been under the direction of Robert Thompson from 1992 to present. In the band's short nineteen year existence, the band has appeared twice in Orlando, Florida, twice in Williamsburg, Virginia, and once in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Washington, D.C. The band performs regularly at area parades and festivals, including the WV Poultry Festival, the Treasure Mountain Festival, and the Wardensville Fall Festival. The band also performs at all football games.
